Mr. and Mrs. H. Daverne Witt, of Cedar, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2-4:30 p.m. Sept. 13 at the St. Mary’s Parish Center, 301 High Ave. E., Oskaloosa.

Marla Young and H. Daverne Witt were married Sept. 13, 1958, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Oskaloosa, the Rev. Denis Cahalan officiating.

Their children are Jeffrey, of Ames, Douglas, of Cedar, Ronald, of New Sharon, Michael , of Kandiyohi, Minn., Sherrie Van Zante, of Fremont, Debra Swank, of Newton, and Robert, of Fremont. They also have 16 grandchildren.

He is a farmer and certified public accountant and she is a homemaker/secretary. Family and friends are invited to attend.
