Photo Scavenger Hunt at Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge

Pella — Are you looking for something fun to do outside that the whole family can enjoy? Join a naturalist at Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge on Sunday, July 22 at 2 p.m. for a digital photography scavenger hunt.  The event is free and open to participants of all ages. Participants may borrow camera equipment to complete the scavenger hunt.

Through a camera lens, families will discover natural prairie wonders, while competing to find and take pictures of critters and plants found on the tallgrass prairie. Prizes will be awarded to the family that finds the most items! July is a great time to get out on the refuge and discover the beauty of a summer tallgrass prairie.

Pre-registration for this event is encouraged. Contact Michelle Garcia at (515) 994-3400 or at Michelle_Garcia@fws.gov for registration or with further questions.
