OSKALOOSA —
As I said in my column last week, welcome to Iowa! We are having a very interesting weather pattern, in my opinion. It seems that we will get arctic cold weather towards the end of the week and at the start of the weekend, but by mid-week we are at above normal temperatures. This week looks to be the same. Temperatures will remain in the mid to upper 40s, but by Saturday, they will plummet back into the 20s and 10s. With the special election coming up, I am receiving several questions regarding the election. One of these is the voting locations.
Question: Where can I go to vote in the Special Election?
There are seven polling locations in this month’s special election. They are: Union Mills Christian Church Fellowship Hall, Leighton Christian Reformed Church, Fremont Comm. Building, Truax Maintainer Shop, Oskaloosa-Ward 1 AEA/Ext. Office Building, Oskaloosa-Ward 4 Old Grant School Building, and the New Sharon City Park Building.
The polls in the election are open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. You can vote at any of the above listed voting locations. You don’t have to go to your precinct polling location. You can go to whichever location is the most convenient. Remember, YOU CAN ONLY VOTE AT ONE POLLING LOCATION.
