There’s a bit of a surprise in the vote for this past week’s Question of the Week: Will the NFL lockout end in time for a 2011 football season?
Forty — 44 percent — answered YES while five — 6 percent — replied NO and 45 — 50 percent — said I DON’T CARE.
The Question of the Week poll is not scientific and only reflects the opinions of those Internet users who have chosen to participate. The Question of the Week is just another way the Herald’s readers can voice their opinions about issues that affect them.
This week’s Question of the Week deals with the Southern Iowa Fair.
The fair wrapped up Monday after a week of “fun in the sun” at the fairgrounds. There was a variety of things for both young and old to enjoy. Besides the 4-H animal competitions, people could enjoy a carnival midway, The Doggies of the Wild West show, Laser Alley, a Johnny Cash tribute concert as well as car races, antique tractor displays and craft shows to name a few.
Unlike this past year where it rained a lot, this year’s fair had a lot of hot, sunny and muggy weather until an early Sunday morning storm came through town.
