OTTUMWA — Ottumwa Regional Health Center has appointed Dan Porter as the Chief Financial Officer.
“We are very pleased to have Dan join the health center as its new Chief Financial Officer. This is a pivotal role for ORHC and Dan brings to the hospital the financial, accounting and strategic experience necessary to help us reach our ambitious financial goals,” Tom Siemers, president and CEO said.
Porter brings extensive experience to the health center, having served for 20 years in the area of health care, accounting and finance. He comes to Ottumwa Regional from Alegent Health in Omaha Neb., a nine hospital system, providing 2,000 beds with 8,600 employees and an annual net service revenue of $1 billion. He received his BBA degree and MBA from Drake University in Des Moines.
“I look forward to building the financial infrastructure that will allow Ottumwa Regional to achieve our near-and long-term objectives. I am thrilled to be a part of a team that believes in putting the hospital in the top 5 percent in the nation in patient, physician and employee satisfaction,” Porter said.
