OSKALOOSA —
Oskaloosa fire officials have confirmed that Kathy Edgington was the person who had died as the result of an early morning house fire Thursday.
The Oskaloosa Fire Department received a report of a fire at 3:49 a.m. Thursday at 401 N. A St.
Oskaloosa firefighters said two people were in the home at the time of the fire. Edgington’s mother, Helen, also was home at the time of the blaze and she made it out of the home.
Eighteen Oskaloosa firefighters and two members of the New Sharon Fire Department responded to the fire. Also, officials from the State Fire Marshall’s office responded to the fire.
