OSKALOOSA —
Jury selection began Tuesday morning in the trial for Bradley Arterburn in Mahaska County District Court.
Arterburn, 27, of Oskaloosa, has been charged with first-degree murder of his mother’s boyfriend in June 2011.
The charge stems from the June 2011 death of Robert Henry Horovitz, 58, of Davenport. Arterburn entered a plea of not guilty in Mahaska County Court July 12.
Oskaloosa police allege Arterburn used a “medieval-style” double- edged battle axe in the attack on Horovitz.
Jury selection will continue Tuesday afternoon after the lunch break.
