Leighton celebrates Independence Day on July 3
LEIGHTON — On Friday, July 3, Leighton will celebrate Independence Day.
Starting from 5 to 7 p.m., the Leighton Lions will serve a free-will donation dinner at the Community Center. A parade up Otley Street will begin at 7:30 p.m.; bring your lawn chairs. Assorted games will be played at the church parking lot between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. A Scrap ball game is planned for 8:30 p.m. — bring your ball glove.
A great fireworks display is set for 10 p.m. at the ball park; bring your bug spray.
