Judith “Judie” Miller, 67, of Oskaloosa, died Monday evening, Jan. 21, 2013, at Mahaska Health Partnership in Oskaloosa.
As was her wish, her body has been cremated and private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
Judith K. Miller, daughter of William John and Reta Cambria Harvey Allgood, was born Dec. 17, 1945, in Oskaloosa. She attended Oskaloosa schools. Judie was a homemaker and also did housekeeping for others part-time. In 1986, she began selling life insurance for APAC Teleservices; she remained there until 1992. Judie enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with them.
Her family includes her son B.J., of Oskaloosa; a granddaughter, MacKenzie Miller, of Oskaloosa; a son-in-law, Randy Dalbey, of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren: Heather, Erica and Alexa Dalbey, also of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Jack (Linda) Allgood, of Englewood, Colo.; and a niece and nephew, Michael and Jenny Allgood, of Boulder, Colo.
In addition to her parents, Judie was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Sue Dalbey on Jan. 18, 2013, and a son, Michael Dean who died as an infant.
