JAN. 20, 1942 — DEC. 16, 2012

MUSCATINE — Funeral service will be Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at the funeral home. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

David A. Cook, 70, of Muscatine, died on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Trinity Hospital-Muscatine.

The Rev. Alex Kindred of the First Christian Church will officiate.

The family requests that memorials be made to the First Christian Church.

David was born on Jan. 20, 1942, in Ottumwa, the son of George and Marie Whitacre CookHe married Cheri Rockey, Oct. 24, 1964, in Des Moines.

He was employed at Musco Lighting before retiring.

He was a member of First Christian Church. He enjoyed collecting antique radios and especially loved cats.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Cheri Cook, of Muscatine; one son Steve Cook, of Muscatine; and one brother Sam Cook of Milan, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Mark Cook.
