ARLINGTON, Texas —
Carol Jean Hults-Hufferd, 68, of Arlington, Texas, and formerly of Fremont, went to be with her personal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the Integrity Transitional Hospice Hospital in Denton, Texas.
She was born Thursday, June 1, 1944, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Charles and Vera Knott Hults. She graduated from the Hedrick High School with the class of 1962. On Jan. 23, 1962, she was united in marriage to Steve Hufferd at the Baptist Temple in Ottumwa. She retired as a customer service representative with Cingular Wireless. She was a member of the Regency Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. She had a great love for the Lord and enjoyed reading her Bible everyday. She also loved singing Christian music, collecting dolls and shopping but spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her true passion.
Carol is survived by her husband: Steve Hufferd, of Arlington, Texas; two daughters: Tina (and Tim) Lewellen, of Abilene, Texas, and Andrea (and Jim) Cooper, of Fort Worth, Texas; a son: Bryan (and Debra) Hufferd, of Joshua, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her mother: Vera Hults, of Ottumwa; two sisters: Connie (and Mike) Reynolds-Mathison, of Chandler, Ariz., and Crystal (and Robert) Randell, of Oskaloosa; a brother-in-law: Lloyd Woodard, of Fremont; and numerous nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father and one sister: Charlene Hults-Woodard.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Joshua Baptist Church in Joshua, Texas. Burial was in Skyvue Memorial Gardens in Mansfield, Texas. Visitation with the family present was held at Skyvue Memorial Gardens in Mansfield, Texas, from 6 – 8 p.m. Memorials may be made in Carol’s name and mailed to Steve Hufferd, 2003 Delaford St., Arlington, Texas 76002.
