OTTUMWA —
Maxine I. Huffman, 94, of Ottumwa, died Dec. 4, 2012.
She was born Oct. 25, 1918, in Oskaloosa to Charles Leonard and Jessie Perrick Hoerlein. She married William C. “Bill” Huffman on May 16, 1953. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1989.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ottumwa, King’s Daughters, P.E.O. Chapter HQ, and Order of Eastern Star in Oskaloosa.
Surviving are three daughters, Marie Street, of Jackson, Tenn., Martha Funk, of Denver, Colo., and Mary Bullock, of Windermere, Fla.; five grandchildren.
Her body has been cremated.
Graveside services and inurnment will be 3 p.m. Friday in Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa with the Rev. David Klanderman officiating. Visitation with the family present will be 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Humane Society, P.O. Box 1149, Ottumwa, IA 52501 or First Presbyterian Church in Ottumwa.
