OSKALOOSA —
Robert Lee Ross, 76, of Oskaloosa, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at the Lexington Place Care Center in Keokuk, Iowa. He was born Aug. 5, 1936, in the Scott Township of Mahaska County, the son of Verl and Mary Redding Ross.
He is survived by his two sisters, Violet McMains and Marliyn Kay Readshaw both of New Sharon; a brother in law, Charles Lanphier of Eddyville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, JoAnn Lanphier; a brother and sister in law, Charles and Linda Ross; two brothers in law, Loren McMains and Jack Readshaw; and two nephews.
As was Bob’s wish his body has been cremated and no services are planned. Burial of the cremated remains will be in the Eureka Cemetery near Harvey, Iowa, at a later date. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
