FREMONT —
Larry “Buck” L. Reinwand, 77, of Fremont, passed away Wednesday morning, July 11, 2012, at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, July 14, at Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa with Pastor Alvern Boetsma of the Good News Chapel officiating. Family and friends may gather at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel on Saturday by 9:15 a.m. to form a procession to the cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., Friday at the funeral chapel; the family will be present from 5-7 p.m. to greet visitors. Memorials may be made to the Good News Chapel.
Larry Lee Reinwand, son of Stacey and Louise Evans Reinwand, was born Nov. 2, 1934, in Sigourney. Larry was raised on a farm near Fremont and was a 1953 graduate of Fremont High School. Except for his service with the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1960, Larry farmed his entire life near Fremont. In 2003, he retired, but continued to assist the Brink family in their farming operation. Larry attended the Good News Chapel. He was a hobbyist blacksmith and enjoyed working in his metal workshop.
Larry is survived by a sister, Martha Maurine Reinwand, of Council Bluffs, and two nieces and a nephew.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a nephew.
