BURLINGAME, Kan. —
Joey Wilson Lowe, 51, Burlingame, Kan., passed away Aug. 9, 2012.
He was born July 7, 1961, to James and Judy (Carlson) Lowe at Rosiclare, Ill. He was raised in Rose Hill and attended Rose Hill School and Sigourney High School. He graduated in 1994.
He married Debra Mae Scholtus on July 7, 2007, at Wabunsee Lake in Alma, Kan. He was a heavy equipment operator. He loved fishing and his dogs (“his kids”). He loved to drive the county side on his motorcycle, ride his horses and see the wildlife. He was great at helping others. His greatest love was that of the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Debra; one son, Kristopher; father, Jim; brothers, Rick and Jimmy Lowe, Scott and Clifford Vaughn; sisters, Faith Lowe, Rhonda Vaughn and Samantha Hudson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy; grandmother, Hester E. Lowe; grandfather, Wilson Lowe; and step-parents, Jim and Ruth Ann Bell.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Assembly in Burlingame on Saturday, Aug. 25, at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Joey’s family in care of the Bank of Burlingame, 115 S. Topeka Ave. Burlingame, Kan., 66413.
