OSKALOOSA — Winterset used an opportunistic defense and special teams to blow open a close game in the final 2 minutes of the game and defeat Oskaloosa 40-14 Friday night in Class 3A, District 8 action. The Huskies intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown then recovered a fumble on a kickoff and turned that into another score. Nate Van Veldhuizen rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown forf the Indians. Austin Redlich added a touchdown rushing. Check Tuesday's Herald for completed details on the game.
