OSKALOOSA —
Former Oskaloosa High School standout Trisha Van Dusseldorp was named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
Van Dusseldorp, a senior guard at Wisconsin-La Crosse, averaged 17.0 points in two UW-La Crosse victories during the week. She finished with a career-high 21 points in the Eagles’ 69-56 win over UW-Stout on Jan. 16, followed by 13 points, including six in overtime, in a 58-51 win over UW-Eau Claire on Jan. 19. Van Dusseldorp was seven-of-13 (53.8 percent) from three-point range in the two games.
She is second on the team in scoring this season, averaging 10.0 points per game. Van Dusseldorp has scored in double figures in four straight games, averaging 15.0 points. She has nine contests overall in double figures.
