EDDYVILLE —
Mother Nature wasn’t kind as Friday night Test-n-Tune and high school races were rained out but Midnight Madness was able to be run.
Midnight Madness is where the scoreboards are turn off and it is an instant green start so the other racers don’t know how fast everyone is running. It brings the street racing off the street to a safe place to run.
During the night, four heads up classes was run In the Domestic class, Billy Scott from Kirksville, Mo., won over Zach Smith from Dallas City, Ill. Import class had James Sayer from Fairfield winning agaisnt Sean Westrum from Des Moines. Bike class had Mike Steele from Fairfield win against Danny Davis from West Des Moines and in the diesel truck class Nate O’Conner from Ankeny won over Levi Fenner from Grinnell.
Saturday’s races got one round of time trials in before the rain hit forcing races to be cancelled. Sunday’s Fun Day was able to be held as Bob Dougherty from Des Moines had a busy day making three of the four finals. Winning the 5.80 index and runner up in the 6.10 index and Pit bike race. Josh DeMoss from Des Moines won the street Bike class and won the Pit Bike.
Friday will be Test-n-Tune and High School whileSaturday will be a non-point fun day.
