OSKALOOSA —
The Cheer & Tumble Tyme Twisters of Albia & Oskaloosa competed in their first two meets of the 2012 USTA/AAU Tumbling & Trampoline season.
CTT had 23 competitors representing their team in the power tumbling event in Indianola on Jan. 8 with 4 of them from Oskaloosa.
Sub-Novice Competitors: Daphni Yarkosky (age 14) received a score of 35.7 to bring home third place and Payten Van Waardhuizen (age 15) received a score of 33.8 to bring home first place
Advanced Beginner Competitor Karson Swim (age 9) received a score of 36.0 to bring home second place.
Sub-Beginner competitor Sadie Blommers (age 4) received a score of 13.9 to bring home second place.
CTT had 27 competitors representing their team in the power tumbling event with 5 of them from Oskaloosa in a meet in Ottumwa on Jan. 15.
Sub-Novice Competitors: Daphni Yarkosky (age 14) received a score of 36.4 to bring home first place and Payten Van Waardhuizen (age 15) received a score of 31.7 to bring home first place
Advanced Beginner Competitor Karson Swim (age 9) received a score of 20.4 to bring home sixth place.
Beginner Competitor Maleah Walker (age 7) received a score of 34.6 to bring home first place.
Sub-Beginner competitor Sadie Blommers (age 4) received a score of 17.4 to bring home first place.
The Twisters next meet is Feb. 26 in Marshalltown.
