PELLA — Oskaloosa’s freshman volleyball team won all three matches at the Pella Quadangular Monday night.
The Indians bested Pella Christian (22-20, 21-18), Pella (15-21, 21-18, 15-12) and Grinnell (21-15, 23-21).
In the Pella Christian match, Shelby Allgood had three assists, four aces and one block while Shawni Wills had three aces and two digs. Shania Cubit collected a team-high four blocks while Claire Denniston and Andrea Brown both had four digs,
Against Pella, Allgood had two kills, four assists and four aces as Taylor Crawford contributed three kills, two aces and a block. Kylie Hill chipped in two aces while Ashley Nimtz had four aces in the match. Joslyn Scahffner had three digs ans Wills had three digs, three kills and one ace.
Allgood had one kill, two assists and four aces in the win against Grinnell. Wills contributed four aces.
Oskaloosa coach Anna Hellenga said Emily Peters had a solid night. She had only three service errors in 21 attempts with five aces.
“She did well in all three matches. She served well under pressure,” Hellenga said.
