OSKALOOSA —
Little Hawkeye Conference co-champion Oskaloosa placed six players on the first two units of the conference teams this week.
Senior pitcher Kenzie Gott, senior infielder Mac McGraw, junior catcher Shawni Wills and sophomore outfielder Kelsie Tomlin were named to the first team while senior utility player Kesley Kollasch and freshman infielder Peyton Zickefoose were named to the second team.
The Indians had honorable mentions in senior pitcher Kritelle Slycord and sophomore infielder Kailyn Risher.
Gott complied a 19-5 record with a 1.91 ERA for the Indians, who went 23-13 on the season and shared the LHC title with Norwalk with 9-3 records. Opponents batted .188 against Gott this season as she recorded 125 strikeouts in 158 innings of work.
Gott also batted .387 with 41 hits, seven doubles and 17 RBI.
McGraw had a .347 batting average with 42 hits and tied for the team lead in RBI with 25. She belted two home runs and added eight doubles.
Wills, who also played the outfield at times for the Indians, batted .351 with 39 hits and 25 RBI while Tomlin was second on the team in batting at .378. She led the team in hits with 45, stolen bases with nine and drove in 22 runs.
Kollasch batted .315 with 34 hits, including her first varsity home run, and knocked in 10 runs.
Zickefoose led the team in home runs with four and batted .349 on the season. She had 37 hits and had 24 runs batted in.
Slycord, who batted .268 with 17 RBI, had a 4-6 record as a pitcher with a 3.56 ERA. She struck out 28 batters.
Risher had a batting average of .296 with 13 RBI. She had 24 hits and stole eight bases.
Pella had infielder Allie Demeulenaere and outfielder Lindsey Mueller named to the first team while pitcher Bri Arkema and utility player Morgan Ernst were selected to the second team.
Pella Christian had a pair of first teamers in infielder Sami Veenstra and utility player tTessa Howerzyl. The Eagles’ lone second-team choice was outfielder Paige Engbers.
