OSKALOOSA —
The 26th annual Oskaloosa pitching clinic is going to start Jan. 23. It will be held at William Penn University and coached by Emory Stewart, Mark McCulley and Bill Almond.
The clinic covers all of the basic mechanics of pitching. Each participant is taken at what ever skill level they have and are advanced according to their ability. Newcomers are welcome as well as veterans. They will learn the proper body mechanics, release points as well as grips.
This is an eight-week clinic and will run Wednesday and Thursday nights. Participants will choose one of the two evenings to attend. Times will be from 7-8 p.m., 8-9 p.m. or 9-10 p.m. Each participant must provide their own catcher and glove. Sessions are already filling up so call Emory Stewart at (641) 673-7031 or (515) 418-2498 to secure your slot. You may also pick up brochures from Swim Sports.
The cost of the clinic is only $190 per participant for the eight weeks.
