Rocket grapplers win 1 of 3 duals at Clarke
OSCEOLA — Eddyville-Blakesburg won 1 of 3 matches in a quadrangular with Clarke, Pleasantville and Interstate-35 Thursday night.
The Rockets beat Clarke 37-33 in a South Central Conference battle. They then lost to Pleasantville 42-34 and Interstate-35 44-32.
A pin by Brett Roberts at 130 points put the Rockets ahead for good at 34-33 over the Indians and Lasey Beals put the icing on the win with a 9-6 decision oer Tanner Schuldt at 135.
Besides Roberts, Jake Demmon and Dimitri Boyer also had falls for the Rockets.
Tanner Scott, Nathan VanZante, Boyer, Jake Crosby and Jesse Demmon all came away with falls against the Trojans.
Against I-35, Scott and Crosby got falls for the Rockets this round. Jake Demmon beat seventh-ranked Dallas Houchins 7-2 in a good match.
Scott, Boyer, Crosby and Jake Demmon all went 3-0 on the night.
