DES MOINES —
The Transform Academy JO (Junior Olympic) Compulsory gymnasts competed last weekend at the annual Chow’s Fall Invitational held at AIB College.
There were a total of 23 different teams from throughout Iowa and Nebraska. This was the girls’ first meet of year and competition at this meet was definitely tough. Some of the girls had as many as 15 competitors in the level/age division.
Chow’s Gymnastics is famously known as the home gym of Shawn Johnson and Gabby Douglas. While they did not make an appearance at the meet, Coach Chow himself was there and some of the girls were able to get his autograph or picture taken with him.
Transform Academy will compete again this weekend Oct. 13-14 at the Twist’n to the Top Invitational hosted by Twister’s Gymnastics in Hiawatha.
